Irish and German partnerships building the Smart Cities and Homes of the Future
The Embassy of Ireland in Germany and the Technische Universität Berlin, in association with Science Foundation Ireland, invite you to a Science Colloquium in celebration of Irish/German research strengths and linkages and ESOF 2012 Dublin.
The colloquium, which is being organised in conjunction with IDA Ireland and the Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Irish Government will take place at Technische Universität Berlin, Strasse des 17. Juni 135, 10623 Berlin (Main Building, Room H 1028) on 25 April 2012 at 10.00.
This event will showcase the technical advances that Irish and German research groups have made in this sector and the partnerships that have been established between companies and research institutes.
Dublin has been declared Europe’s City of Science for 2012. In this capacity, Dublin will host Europe’s largest science conference, ESOF 2012 (Euroscience Open Forum), from 11-15 July this year.
Throughout the year, over 160 events are taking place as part of a year-long celebration of science which will showcase the best of Irish culture, arts and science.
We believe that the colloquium offers an invaluable opportunity to further enhance the scientific links between Ireland and Germany and between Dublin and Berlin. We would be delighted if you or a colleague were available to attend what promises to be an extremely stimulating day.
The event will take place at the TU Berlin and will be followed by a drinks reception at the Embassy of Ireland. Registration for the event can be done online at the following link:
